Song lyrics
Ok, so I’m on a kick of bad breakup songs for no real reason. Well there is a reason but it’s not what you may be thinking. Here are two great lyrics:
“Right now I know you can tell I’m down and I’m not doing well, but one day these tears will all run dry, I won’t have to cry sweet goodbye. ‘Cuz someday, someone’s going to love me the way I wanted you to need me. Someday someone’s going to take your place…. “
And…
“I have no confidence and I can’t see why I should. But I could do most anything for you and you know I would. I try too hard, then I give up way too easily. I’m the runner up inside of you and you’re the winner inside of me.”
First one credit Nina and the second Sophie B Hawkins. The rest of the Sophie song is about being a slave to love, bah humbug.

Another Whirlwind Update
So, I don’t really know where I’ve been lately, but hopefully I’m back for a while. By hopefully I’m back I mean you should all comment on this post so that I’ll feel encouraged enough to make other posts.
I’m heading to Rochester Thursday morning for a dentist’s appointment followed by a weekend in Rochester and maybe another appointment on Monday.
I’ve been listening to “There’s a Fine, Fine Line” lately. Powerful words for puppets. Another good song, “I Won’t Go Home Without You” by Maroon 5.

15 miles on the Erie Canal
Who remembers this song? Well, I grew up in a town on the Erie Canal (well, just north of one, but my school district was on the other side). I remember learning this song (perhaps you know it as “Low Bridge”) and signing it in grade school chorus.
In grad school, I lived at the western end of the canal, Buffalo, and now I live closer to the eastern end, Albany. What’s the point of this post? The song popped into my head and I wanted to see how many people knew it. Comment on this song or any other famous songs that you remember signing growing up.
