Gym Shower Ettiquette

So I decided to use the pool at work today, and I would like to comment on gym shower etiquette. So the shower stalls in the locker room are set up as a group shower. There are probably 10-12 shower heads arranged along parallel outer walls. If you ask me, this configuration does not lend itself to much privacy to being with. However, I decided to be brace and I took the shower on the far wall nearest to the door. About two minutes into my shower a young naked gentleman came in and proceeded to shower directly across for me. I’m not sure I’m okay with this. Much like urinal etiquette, one male should not shower in the direct eyesight of another. I don’t make the rules, I just abide by them.
