Dissertation Reading
So I’m up to page 35. Around 120 more pages to proof. Should be easy, but it’s been a while since I’ve taken a Spanish linguistics class. Starting tomorrow I’m going for 10-20 pages a day. My goal is to be finished by the weekend.
On another note, no one seems to be reading or commenting on my blog anymore. Maybe that’s why I’ve given up posting. Here’s a picture:

Above are the people I’ve been hanging out with most of my time, Toni and Robin.

Blizzard #1
Okay, so I’ve decided to start counting blizzards here in Oneonta. Today was blizzard #1. The snow fell so fast it wasn’t funny and by 2pm classes were canceled as everyone made a mad dash home. Look at this picture:

You can see the tire tracks. On the other side of that wooden wall? There’s supposed to be a road, but there’s not. First item on the shopping list this weekend: snow tires.
At least in Buffalo they plowed.

Cookie Brownie Thingys
I baked cookie brownie thingys today. People at work have been wondering what I’m bringing in tomorrow for almost a week and a half now. Really, they’re quite simple:
- Preheat oven to 350° (Question for the foreigners that may cross this blog – does your oven use Fahrenheit or Centigrade or maybe even Kelvin?)
- Make a box of brownies
- Spread Brownie Mix in pan, evenly
- Make cookie dough (I buy the pouch that needs a stick of whatever type of butterish substance you use and water).
- Plop cookies into brownie dough.
End result:

PS – Why am I writing this post at 2:50am? I napped earlier.

Easy Trivia
Easy: Name this structure:

Harder: How did this structure come to be?
Hardest: Name the street corner from which I took this picture.
You figure it out while I have some tea:

Long day full of dumb questions
Summary of today’s events:
- I love going into work at 10am and coming home at 9:45pm.
- My haircut looked good while teaching the class this afternoon.
- You can ask a librarian dumb questions.
- S/he should then have the right to laugh and point at you, but won’t.
- I can help you attempt to prove that we didn’t actually land on the moon in 1969, but you have to give me more than “the paper’s due Thursday.”
- There’s actually a Library of Congress Subject Heading for France’s foreign relations with Germany after 1945 (in French). Finding that was the highlight of my day and will be again tomorrow.
- Hopefully Ryan is going to email me a picture because he’s a better photographer than a certain non-Canadian.
- It started to snow this evening. Blech.

Campus in the Fall
I love the fall. The colors, the leaves falling, the temperatures cool enough to wear jeans and a shirt, but warm enough to not need a jacket.
Here are two pictures I took today:

More pictures to come as the weather stays beautiful.

Random Photos
Here are some random photos from the Powershot:

My pen cup on my desk.

My mousepad. Yay Geneseo.

The top of my TV. I took this picture in the near dark.

Look at the water droplets. I used macro and upped the ISO.
