Water water everywhere
First, my tub leaks (and I get a new floor) and now it’s storming outside to the point of hailing. More on the new floor when it’s finally fixed.
Life has been interesting lately. I’ve been dating some, which is nice and scary at the same time. Readers, would you like me to chronicle some dates I’ve been on? It might scare intrigue you.
A dear friend of mine got a job in Virgina recently and it was good to see her one last time this weekend before she goes down there on Friday.
This just in for non sequiturs: work is starting to pick up as the students come back at the end of the week. Still haven’t moved offices yet.

Getting ready to move..
I’ll be glad when I’m all moved. I’ve been involved with an event that has consumed all free time in the past two weeks. Hopefully I’ll be able to pack tomorrow.
The goodbyes are starting. Why is the word goodbye? It should be badbye. I don’t like having to say goodbye. So, I won’t; I’ll just say farewell.

Spencerport
So, driving around downtown Rochester yesterday I learned something: I don’t think I really want to live in Rochester. I want to be close to nightlife and my friends downtown, but working 30 minutes outside of Rochester (Brockport) and commuting on the expressway seems wrong given that gas is going to be $10/gal before I know it. The solution: live close to work but close to downtown. This means Spencerport. I found a few apartment complexes to check out tomorrow. In fact, here’s my schedule:
8:30am – wake up, shower, coffee
9:00am – call complexes in Rochester to make appointments
10:00am – stop by first complex in Spencerport
10:30am – stop by second complex in Spencerport
11:15am – Stop by first building downtonw
11:45am – Stop by second building downtown
12:15pm – Stop by third building downtown
1:00pm – Hopefully make decision about where to live, take care of details
2:30pm – Stop by future work place and see my “interim office”
I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.

New job? New apartment?
Well, I’ll be homeless after April 21st if I don’t find another apartment. I told my landlord I’d be out by April 21st this afternoon. It saved me my last month’s rent and security deposit because a couple wants to move on in. Now to find a new dwelling in either zip 14607, 14610 or 14620. As of right now I don’t have a written offer giving me the new job. It’s on it’s way (it just takes 14<stike>000</strike> days). Well, I’m hoping to not have to risk it all and resign before receipt of the letter extending the offer of employment, but at the rate things are going I’m going to have to beg for a faxed copy before the official mailed one shows up.
I have been searching for apartments on Craigslist, and it’s been pretty successful.

Moving on up….
I got a new job! Well, almost. Nothing official yet, but I’ll be back in the 585 area code come the end of April as long as the appropriate paperwork gets sent my way. More details to come. Anyone know of a good apartment in the Rochester, NY area?
