Christmas through New Year’s
Contrary to popular belief, I haven’t fallen off the face of the planet. I’ve simply been busy hanging out with my family and friends and having quite the break from work. Here’s a brief summary, in case you were wondering what I’ve been up to:
Christmas Eve was spent with family and it was a great time. I went to a candlelight service at the Episcopal Church in Brockport, NY.
Christmas was pretty much a dud because of an ear problem and me not wanting to be around people.
The day after Christmas, the roads were pleasant for my drive home. I left pretty late in the day, and then unpacked my car and started to put away my Christmas gifts (I got almost everything under Household Goods and Clothing Items).
Thursday and Friday meant work, but there was soup both days (we all decided to eat lunch together) and I even made chili on Thursday.
Friday night is when I ended up going over to Toni and Robin’s. Toni had knee surgery so I went to visit him. I hung out there pretty much all weekend (plus Monday), and we ended up going out last night for NYE. Good times just about covers it.
I’ll be back-up house-sitting for them until I go to the airport to get them on the 9th. Also on my to do list, go to the dentist and proof a friend’s dissertation. Yay linguistics.
Sorry for the lengthy entry, but I feel one long entry is better than several short ones. I’m also still contemplating getting my own domain name….
Happy 2008, y’all.
PS — My birthday is coming up.
