Blizzard #2

We’re supposed to get about 12 more inches of snow between last night and tomorrow morning.  We had some sleet (see previous entry) earlier, and now it’s snowing, and it’s coming down quite nicely.  I’m going to attempt to slide drive safely to work and home again at 8:15ish this evening.  Wish me luck.  I’m wearing my new boots and I have snow tires, so hopefully that hill will not be a problem!

Blizzard #1

Okay, so I’ve decided to start counting blizzards here in Oneonta.  Today was blizzard #1.  The snow fell so fast it wasn’t funny and by 2pm classes were canceled as everyone made a mad dash home.  Look at this picture:

You can see the tire tracks.  On the other side of that wooden wall?  There’s supposed to be a road, but there’s not.  First item on the shopping list this weekend: snow tires.

At least in Buffalo they plowed.
